The company EXPO 2027 doo has allocated 4.9 million euros (635 million dinars) for the construction and assembly of the thematic pavilion “Let’s Play Together”, part of the upcoming EXPO 2027 Belgrade. The contract was awarded to the Italian firm Simmetrico SRL from Milan, the sole bidder, according to Nova Ekonomija.

One of the key criteria for selecting the contractor was prior experience in designing and executing national or international projects related to contemporary art, new technologies, interactive museum settings, or multimedia gallery exhibits covering at least 1,000 square meters.

Simmetrico SRL was specifically asked to provide evidence of its work on a similarly sized project at the exhibition in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The technical documentation requires the company to develop a conceptual design, detailed plans, production, and implementation of the content, as well as to complete the outfitting of the pavilion on a total area of 2,932 square meters.

Of this, the exhibition space will cover 1,841 square meters—approximately 63 percent of the total area—meaning Simmetrico will earn roughly 2,661 euros per square meter of exhibition space. The company must also provide detailed specifications for all equipment and materials necessary for content production.

Additionally, Simmetrico is responsible for technical support and ensuring the pavilion’s functionality throughout the exhibition, which will run from May 15 to August 15, 2027. Some EXPO pavilions are expected to be prefabricated and may be dismantled after the event; however, it is not yet clear if the “Let’s Play Together” pavilion will be prefabricated.
