The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia, Tomislav Momirović, attended today in Istanbul the establishment of the Ministerial Coordination Council of Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia and Turkey, whose goal is the development of railway traffic through the implementation of infrastructure projects, the facilitation of border procedures, as well as the exchange of knowledge and experience.

“For the first time, we are creating a ministerial council that will monitor all investments in infrastructure, primarily in railways, where the state of Serbia has ambitious plans,” said Momirović, the ministry announced.

He said that he conveyed to his colleagues that the Government of Serbia is currently investing in ten highways.

Momirović pointed out that the initiative is being established in the circumstances when a war is raging in Europe and “when we have to ensure a sustainable supply and sustainable consumption of energy for our population”, Danas reports.
