Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has received a congratulatory message from Christine Lagarde, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), in which she noted that the results of the recent elections provide a strong foundation for the policy of economic reforms pursued by the government of Serbia and backed by a precautionary arrangement with the IMF, the government press office said in a statement on Friday.
We look forward to working with the new government to help strengthen the growth of the Serbian economy and employment possibilities, as well as ensure that Serbia’s public debt remains on a definite downward trajectory, Lagarde wrote in the message.
