Local self-governments in Serbia receive non-refundable grants

As part of the implementation of the second phase of the project Human Resources Management in Local Self-Government, jointly funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government and the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, a tender was published for financial aid (grants).

The deadline for submitting grant applications is July 17, 2021. All interested cities, municipalities and city municipalities in the Republic of Serbia have the right to participate in the call for applications.

The Council of Europe awards grants for 50 cities, municipalities and city municipalities in the amount of 2,500 euros per individual grant.

The award of grants aims to support local governments in the implementation of special training programs, accredited by the National Academy of Public Administration, as well as strengthening the technical capacity to conduct training through the procurement of equipment worth 20% of the total grant value, BiF reports.
