The investment company “Affinity Partners,” founded by Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former U.S. President Donald Trump, and Emirati billionaire Mohamed Alabbar, is set to build a luxury hotel and apartment complex in Belgrade, on the site of the former Yugoslav Army Headquarters, which was damaged during NATO’s bombing of Serbia in 1999, Bloomberg reported.

The complex will be named “Trump” and will feature a luxury hotel and residential apartments.

Kushner, in an interview with Bloomberg, mentioned that he had considered several brand options before settling on the “Trump” name.

This project in Serbia marks the first joint business venture between Kushner and Alabbar, and they hope it will be the first of many future collaborations.

The decision to brand the project “Trump” was made after Donald Trump’s victory in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, which further solidified the global brand of the Trump family.

The luxury complex is expected to contribute to the development of Belgrade, attracting attention from major investors and tourists, Bloomberg reported.
