Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic talked with the General Director of the Oil Industry of Serbia, Kiril Tyurdenev, about current and perspective projects in the field of energy.
Minister Mihajlovic said that Serbia “is interested in the project for the exploitation of oil shale, as well as the energy projects defined by the NIS Strategy for the construction of TETO Pancevo and the Plandiste wind farm.”
Mihajlovis said that the Ministry is there to be supportive and provide assistance where it is needed, but also to give constructive proposals, so that the projects can be realized as efficiently as possible, because, she says, that is in the interest of our state and citizens.
As it was announced from her office, Mihajlovic expressed satisfaction that NIS has adopted a business plan for the next three years and that it is strategically determined and expanding regionally.
“We want to see the realization of projects, that is important for us,” said Mihajlovic.
Kiril Tyurdenev presented the company’s business from the angle of the most important projects, as well as plans for the future.
He expressed the readiness of NIS to help the Ministry in resolving all potential issues and problems, and said that cooperation with the relevant ministry is strategically important for that company.
“Integration into Petrohemija Pancevo, production of shale oil and shale energy, construction of the Plandiste wind farm and investments in green energy are just some of the projects in the focus of NIS,” Tyurdenev said, RTS reports.
