This year, the Ministry of Public Investments plans to initiate a public procurement process for the reconstruction and expansion of the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Clinical Center of Serbia in Višegradska, with an estimated project value of 4.6 billion dinars (approximately EUR 39.2 million).
According to the ministry’s public procurement plan for 2025, the tender is scheduled for the first quarter of the year.
Discussions about the clinic’s reconstruction began in 2023, with then Minister for Public Investments, Marko Blagojević, assuring that the maternity hospital would remain operational throughout the project, which is expected to take three years.
“There will be no relocation, the building will remain open during the works. It won’t be ideal, but if we managed to complete Infectious Diseases Hospital while fighting the pandemic, I believe anything is possible. A plan will be developed in coordination with the Višegradska administration to ensure the clinic’s operations are synchronized with the reconstruction work,” Blagojević told RTS at the time.
