In the coming two years, the Alliance for eGovernment, part of the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED), will focus on strengthening information security, enhancing protection against cyberattacks, and improving data security across both public and private sectors. The top priority will be the introduction of cashless payment options for all public services, including taxes, fees and levies.

The Alliance will continue to support the state in advancing the digital readiness of both officials and citizens, ensuring the effective delivery and usage of eServices. Establishing a modern digital infrastructure throughout Serbia, including the implementation of a digital wallet, is also among the key goals. Additionally, the Alliance aims to promote the use of artificial intelligence in enhancing public services and business operations, store state applications and data in the national cloud, and advance the development of smart cities in Serbia.

Dejan Ristić, the Minister of Information and Telecommunications, highlighted the importance of the newly launched ePečat service in the cloud, noting it as a significant step towards the digitization of public administration. He also pointed to Serbia’s progress in digital transformation, citing the country’s rise in the international Network Readiness Index and its top ranking in the Global Information Security Index by the International Telecommunication Union.

Ristić emphasized that the Ministry would continue focusing on broadband infrastructure expansion in rural areas, aiming to connect 200 new settlements over the next two years, with NALED’s support. Furthermore, the Ministry is making strides towards the introduction of the 5G network in Serbia, with transparent procedures for base station setups across the country.

Dragana Ilić, president of the Alliance for eGovernment, stressed the importance of the new Action Plan for Serbia’s electronic communications system, as well as the plan for the development of information society and information security. The Alliance will continue to collaborate closely with the Ministry on strengthening regulations in these areas.

The Alliance for eGovernment will remain under the leadership of Dragana Ilić for the next two years, with Ivan Živković re-elected as vice president. New vice presidents include Snežana Sofijanić of VISA, Bojan Pavlović of AIK Bank and Tanja Vukotić-Marinković of APR.
