NBS dismisses claims of sanctions over Dina card payments at NIS stations

The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) responded to claims that using Dina cards for payments at NIS gas stations could lead to sanctions against the central bank, calling such statements “baseless panic-spreading.”

The NBS clarified that the Dina card is a domestic payment instrument, just like the dinar or cash and instant payments, and therefore cannot be linked to any sanctionable activity.

The Bank emphasized that the issue related to NIS is being addressed at the highest state level and that the public will be informed in due course about concrete solutions.
