The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has issued a warning to citizens about borrowing from companies that are not authorized to offer loans. The NBS has specifically highlighted the company Dinexu, based in Germany, which has been granting various types of loans, including cash, housing, mortgage, car, refinancing and pensioner loans, without the necessary authorization to operate in Serbia.
Dinexu is reportedly offering “fast and affordable loans for every situation” electronically, but the company does not hold a valid work permit from the NBS, nor is it subject to NBS oversight.
The NBS advises citizens to only take loans from institutions legally authorized to provide such services. It also encourages individuals to report any illegal lending activities to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as engaging in unauthorized loan practices is considered a criminal offense.
