Niger expresses interest in importing agricultural equipment and products from Serbia

Niger is interested in importing agricultural machinery and plant protection and nutrition products from Serbia, as announced following a meeting between officials from the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture and a delegation from the Republic of Niger visiting Serbia.

The meeting focused on specific areas of cooperation, including potential exports of all types of continental fruits, as well as confectionery and dairy products from Serbia to the Niger market, according to the Ministry’s statement.

State Secretary Livija Pavićević emphasized that Serbia has fertile agricultural land, favorable climate conditions, a rich tradition in agricultural production, and a large number of experts and scientific and research institutions. Therefore, Serbia can offer Niger its knowledge, experience, and technologies to adapt and apply the best Serbian models to local conditions in Niger.

During the discussions, both sides expressed their readiness to formalize the cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Niger in agriculture by signing a memorandum of understanding, as well as organizing study visits and establishing joint projects.
