Nikola Tesla Airport, managed by the company overseeing the concession with the French VINCI at Belgrade Airport, reported impressive financial results for 2024. In its fourth-quarter report, the airport company announced a pre-tax net profit of 461.9 million dinars, nearly double the previous year’s profit of 250 million dinars.

Earnings per share for 2024 were 13.19 dinars, a significant increase compared to the 7.14 dinars earned in 2023. However, it’s worth noting that Aerodrom Nikola Tesla (ANTB) has not paid dividends since the concession agreement began in 2019, with shareholders instead receiving a one-time net dividend of 1,300 dinars when the concession took effect.

The 25-year concession led to the creation of VINCI Airports Serbia, a special-purpose company tasked with fulfilling the obligations outlined in the Concession Agreement. These obligations include paying a one-time concession fee of 501 million euros, an annual fee of 228 million euros for the duration of the concession, and mandatory investments estimated at 732 million euros.

In terms of revenues, ANTB achieved a business revenue total of 1.55 billion dinars in 2024, representing 92% of its total revenues. This figure is 25% higher compared to the previous year and 1% above the adjusted business plan for 2024. The total income for the year was 1.7 billion dinars, marking a 30% increase from 2023.

One notable source of revenue was the annual concession fee, which amounted to 668.38 million dinars, reflecting a 7% increase compared to the previous year. Additionally, income was generated through the acquisition of cadastral plots 5251 and 5252 KO Surčin, which were transferred to ANTB in 2019 under the terms of the Concession Agreement.

The company also reported significant investments, totaling 5.1 billion dinars in real estate, plants, and equipment from January to December 2024. The majority of these investments were related to infrastructure improvements at the airport, as outlined in the concession contract. Notably, 4.9 billion dinars were allocated to the construction, reconstruction, maintenance, and arrangement of the airport’s infrastructure.

In November 2024, the VINCI Airports-managed company overseeing Belgrade Airport completed the reconstruction of the main runway at Nikola Tesla Airport. This project is part of a broader effort to modernize the airport, with future phases set to include the construction of four rapid exit taxiways, improving operational capacity for take-offs and landings.
