Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić assessed in talks with New Zealand Foreign Minister Murray McCully that the bilateral relations were good, but that there was room for improvement, especially in the economic sphere. It was announced that the New Zealand government had decided to relax the visa regime for Serbian citizens as of July. Nikolić stressed that the friendly relations had been also established through a large number of Serbs living in New Zealand. McCully stressed that New Zealand had paid USD 150,000 to the Serbian Red Cross after the recent severe floods in Serbia.
