NIS continued expanding and modernising its retail network in 2025

Naftna Industrija Srbije continued to invest in the development of its fuel retail network throughout 2025, maintaining expansion and modernisation activities despite a more demanding operating environment in the downstream oil market. The company positioned retail as a strategic pillar, focusing on service quality, network coverage, and operational standards.

During the year, NIS opened and upgraded a total of six service stations operating under the NIS Petrol brand. Five existing stations were fully modernised, while one entirely new facility was constructed, combining network renewal with incremental capacity growth. The upgraded locations included stations in Svrljig, Mrčajevci, Kraljevo, Kula, and the Surčin Airport area, while the newly built station was commissioned in Majdanpek.

Modernisation works covered fuel-dispensing infrastructure, safety and environmental systems, convenience retail space, and customer amenities, aligning the stations with contemporary technical and service standards. According to the company, these investments were designed to improve reliability, shorten service times, and enhance the overall customer experience across high-traffic and regional locations alike.

Retail network development has remained a consistent investment priority for NIS over the past several years. Over the last five years, cumulative investment in the expansion and upgrading of the retail network has reached approximately €57.6 million, reflecting a long-term strategy to strengthen market presence and consumer loyalty even during periods of market volatility.

By continuing to roll out modernised and new service stations in 2025, NIS reinforced its position in Serbia’s fuel retail market, signalling that downstream infrastructure remains a core component of its domestic growth and resilience strategy.
