The company NIS became the majority owner of „Petrohemija“ from Pancevo by increasing the founding role.
NIS will pay 17.59 billion dinars in three tranches, thus increasing its share to 90 percent of ownership, according to the documents published in the Agency for Business Registers. Thus, NIS will own 90 percent, and the state of Serbia will own 10 percent.
Until now, the state had a share of 79.14 percent, and NIS 20.86 percent of ownership.
The Ministry of Economy on behalf of the Government of Serbia, the company NIS and HIP Petrohemija signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement in 2021, which stipulates that at the end of the process, Petrohemija will finally become 90 percent owned by NIS both administratively and formally.
