Israeli company Nofar Energy Ltd has successfully connected its 27 MW Ada solar power plant to the grid in Serbia, according to a statement from the company specializing in renewable energy development.

The €25 million ($26.2 million) investment, located in Ada, consists of two solar parks, as reported by eKapija. Nofar began the construction of the solar plant, which is now the largest in Serbia, in May of last year. The plant is expected to produce an estimated 33,150,000 kWh of electricity annually. The project was executed with the Turkish company Girisim Elektrik as the contractor.

The Ada project has expanded Nofar’s global solar portfolio to 2.4 GW, including projects currently under construction. Additionally, the Israeli company has 1.2 GWh of energy storage capacity.
