Serbia’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Siniša Mali, announced that a large number of countries have confirmed their participation in Expo 2027, to be held in Belgrade. He described this confirmation as both an honor and a responsibility to organize the event flawlessly, ensuring that all participating representatives leave with the best impressions.

With less than two years remaining until the Expo’s opening, Serbia has already surpassed the number of participating countries from the previous International Specialized Exhibition held in Astana, Kazakhstan, in 2017.

Confirmed participants include nations from every continent—Europe, Asia, Africa, America, and Oceania—giving cause for optimism about achieving the largest-ever turnout in the event’s history.

In June, Serbia hosted over 400 delegates from 159 countries and international institutions at the International Participants Meeting (IPM) in Belgrade, highlighting the global interest in Expo 2027.

Mali emphasized that many countries recognize the significance of this event, where they will showcase the best of their culture, art, sports, economy, innovation, and vision for the future. Expo 2027 will be the biggest event ever organized in Serbia, expected to attract more than four million visitors over 93 days.

Scheduled from May 15 to August 15, 2027, Expo 2027 Belgrade will be the first international exhibition held in the Western Balkans, positioning Serbia and the region prominently on the global stage.
