More than 70,000 users have quickly placed their trust in the “Elektrodistribucija Srbije” (EDS) app, downloading it from the Google Play Store. The app allows users to easily and quickly submit their electricity meter readings.

To make the meter reading submission process even simpler, the app will be updated starting May 1st. Users will only need to enter the meter’s location code (ED number) for Belgrade and the meter reading along with photos. New users will automatically receive the updated version when they install the app, while existing users will only need to update it, according to an announcement from EDS.

With the start of May and the long holiday weekend, users can take the opportunity to photograph their meters and submit readings from locations that are typically inaccessible for regular meter reading visits.

After installing the app, users need to open it and select the “Submit Meter Reading” option. For the initial setup, it’s helpful to have an electricity bill handy to correctly enter the meter location code (ED number) for the Belgrade area. The app will automatically recognize the user based on this code.

Next, users will enter their name, the meter reading (up to the decimal point), and the reading date, then add photos of the meter. It’s important that the reading in the photo matches the entered value. Users can submit readings for multiple meters by selecting the “Submit Reading for Another Meter” button after each submission.

All users who submit their readings during the next reading cycle will be protected until the 6th of the month to allow them to submit readings independently. If they fail to do so, meter readers will visit and record the meter reading as scheduled after that date.
