For the first time since reconstruction following the 1999 NATO bombing, the oil derivatives warehouse in Požega will add two new tanks, each with a capacity of 2,500 cubic meters, according to eKapija. This information comes from the Urban Project recently presented by the Municipality of Požega.

The Požega facility, originally destroyed in 1999 and rebuilt ten years later, currently has nine tanks with a total capacity of 37,500,000 liters. In 2009, four new tanks in nearby Zdravčići increased total storage to 32,700 cubic meters. The upcoming investment will expand storage further by connecting the two new tanks to the existing infrastructure.

The project, developed by Set doo Šabac, covers a total area of 692.72 square meters and will be constructed in Lunovo village on cadastral plot 190/1, KO Visibaba. Public presentation runs from August 21 to 28.

Separately, Serbia is also expanding oil storage in Smederevo, where six additional tanks of 20,000 cubic meters each are under construction, increasing total capacity to 120,000 cubic meters. The Ministry of Mining and Energy reported in April that 99% of the works are complete, with full investment expected by 2027, according to Prime Minister Đuro Macut.
