President discusses global challenges and economic cooperation with Chinese Vice Premier

“It is a great honor to have the opportunity to meet with the Vice Premier of the People’s Republic of China at such a prestigious gathering of global leaders”, wrote President Vučić on his Instagram profile.

He stated that they discussed the rapidly changing world in the face of numerous global challenges that require urgent and pragmatic solutions, as well as the potential implications of major and important decisions expected from global decision-makers.

“Speaking about the role of Serbia and our friendly relationship with China in today’s world order, I emphasized the importance our country places on our cooperation, which is based on a strong friendship, trust, support, mutual respect, and shared interests,” Vučić wrote.

He added that they also talked about economic cooperation and the enormous potential for further investments in Serbia’s new vision as a country becoming a hub for investments in this part of Europe. “I pointed out that China, as one of the global technological leaders, is a strong partner for Serbia in the realization of the largest and boldest projects, many of which we will present at EXPO2027. I also took the opportunity to send warm greetings to the great friend of our country and people, President Xi Jinping, who, through his personal efforts, has contributed to the strong connection and even greater closeness between our citizens,” Vučić concluded.
