Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić expressed concern that the United States might no longer delay sanctions on NIS, warning that the country could face an extremely difficult situation.
He said he looks forward to discussions with U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, other officials, and international leaders, and mentioned the potential for positive news regarding the withdrawal of recognition of Kosovo’s independence.
Vučić noted that if the issue of U.S. tariffs is resolved, a Japanese company is ready to invest €500 million immediately.
He described himself as cautious about making predictions but expressed hope that the problem can be solved. Vučić emphasized that resolving the tariff issue would not only affect exports but also improve Serbia’s overall investment climate.
“Serbia can survive a one-billion-euro loss, but for the broader investment environment, it is crucial to address this issue as soon as possible,” he said.
