Tomorrow, the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, will continue negotiations on the social program for employees, which will be redundant, with the representatives of trade unions and Fiat workers in the Kragujevac city administration.
As a member of the negotiating team, Bojan Božović, told Beti, the Prime Minister will arrive in Kragujevac at 3 p.m.
Bozovic said that they expect information from the Prime Minister on the course of negotiations with the company Stelantis, within the framework of Fiat’s business, which is taking place with her mediation.
He reminded that on Friday, at the meeting with the Prime Minister in Belgrade, an agreement was reached that workers who choose to work abroad voluntarily are guaranteed a job in a car factory in Kragujevac after the end of that work engagement.
Bozovic said that there are still unresolved issues and that a final agreement is not expected tomorrow.
He stated that the amount of severance pay is still being negotiated, for which the workers are asking to be equal to those who were at the time of the dismissal of the third shift in the factory Fiat Chryler Automobiles (FCA) Serbia.
Bozovic stated that the issue of the status of employees is still open, for which no option of the social program is acceptable – neither going abroad to work, nor severance pay, but they want to stay and work in the factory in Kragujevac.
The proposal is to provide a “minimum” for them until the beginning of the production of electric vehicles in Kragujevac in 2024.
For Igor Andjic from the negotiating team, the “stumbling block” in the negotiations is precisely the status of those workers who do not voluntarily opt for any option of the social program, Beta reports.
