Over the past few days, the turnover volume at the Product Exchange in Novi Sad rose by 60.12% compared to the previous week, with 4,075 tons of goods traded. The total financial turnover amounted to 116,615,450 dinars.
Wheat maintained its dominant position in the market, continuing the price growth of primary agricultural crops. Activity in the corn market, however, slowed down. Market participants showed reduced interest, and the available supply primarily consisted of corn without aflatoxin analysis, according to the Product Exchange report.
Exchange contracts for corn without aflatoxin analysis were concluded within the price range of 20.40 to 21.50 dinars per kg (excluding VAT), depending on the specific terms. The weighted average price was 20.83 din/kg (22.91 din/kg with VAT), marking a slight increase of 0.14% compared to the previous week. Corn accounted for 23% of the total weekly turnover.
Wheat remained the primary crop of focus this week, accounting for 68% of the overall turnover. There was strong demand, particularly for wheat with 11-11.5% protein content. Exchange contracts for wheat were concluded within a price range of 23.80 to 25.00 din/kg (excluding VAT), depending on quality and parity. The weighted average price reached 24.53 din/kg (26.99 din/kg with VAT), reflecting a 1.07% increase from the previous week.
Soybean market activity remained passive, with the supply failing to meet demand, resulting in no contracts being concluded this week.
The mineral fertilizer market saw significant activity, with noticeable price increases for the offered fertilizers. For example, two weeks ago, Urea was traded at 418 to 435 euros per ton (excluding VAT), but this week, contracts for Urea were concluded at a price range of 448 to 460 euros per ton (excluding VAT). Additionally, Russian AN was traded at 46.40 din/kg (395 euros per ton, excluding VAT).
