Public procurement announced for Central Balkan Corridor spatial plan and environmental assessment

JP Elektromreža Srbije has announced a public procurement for the development of a spatial plan for the Central Balkan Corridor project.

The project involves drafting the Spatial Plan of Special Purpose Areas (PPPP) and conducting a strategic environmental impact assessment for the “Central Balkan Corridor for Electricity Transmission.” This corridor includes several key projects: construction of TS 400/110 kV Požarevac 3, construction of the 2×400 kV transmission line (DV) between TS Jagodina 4 and TS Požarevac 3, reconstruction of TS 400/110 kV Jagodina 4, and two 400 kV transmission lines—TS Smederevo 3 to RP Drmno, and RP Drmno to RP Đerdap 1—with connections to TS Požarevac 3.

The implementation of the PPPPN is planned to proceed through an abbreviated procedure.

Details about the high voltage transmission lines are as follows:

• DV 2×400 kV between TS Jagodina 4 and TS Požarevac 3 has a rated voltage of 400 kV, spans approximately 77 km, and consists of two transmission line systems. It passes through the City of Jagodina and the municipalities of Ćuprija, Despotovac, Svilajnac, Žabari, Petrovac na Mlavi, and Malo Crniće.
• DV 400 kV no. 401/4 between TS Smederevo 3 and RP Drmno, with a connection to TS Požarevac 3, has a rated voltage of 400 kV, a length of about 1 km, and consists of one system. It passes through the municipality of Malo Crniće.
• DV 400 kV no. 401/2 between RP Drmno and RP Đerdap 1, also connecting to TS Požarevac 3, has a rated voltage of 400 kV, is approximately 1 km long, and consists of one system, passing through the municipality of Malo Crniće.

Information on high-voltage plants includes:

• TS Požarevac 3 (under construction) with a transmission ratio of 400/110 kV. The scope of work involves building seven 400 kV transmission fields and four reserve fields, nine 110 kV transmission fields, two transformer fields, and one connection field.
• TS Jagodina 4 (under reconstruction) with a transmission ratio of 400/110 kV. The reconstruction works include relocating the DV 423/2 from field C6 to C8, equipping two DV fields to accommodate the new DV from TS Požarevac 3, and replacing equipment in field C6.
