Republic budget deficit of 72 billion dinars in the first quarter

The deficit of the republic budget of Serbia amounted to 72.1 billion dinars in the first quarter of this year, the Ministry of Finance announced today.

Revenues were realized in the amount of 373.3 billion dinars, and expenditures were made in the amount of 445.3 billion, the ministry said in a statement.

In March alone, the budget deficit amounted to 19.2 billion dinars.

According to the data of the Ministry of Finance, revenues in the amount of 133.2 billion dinars were collected in March, of which tax revenues were 119.4 billion. The largest part of tax revenues refers to the payment of VAT, 69.3 billion dinars, and excise duties in the amount of 21.4 billion.

Non-tax revenues amounted to 13.2 billion dinars, and the inflow of donations was 0.6 billion.

Expenditures in the observed month amounted to 152.4 billion dinars, with expenditures for employees being 29.6 billion, transfers to PIO, RFZO, NES, and SOVO funds 14.1 billion, subsidies 27.7 billion, and capital expenditures 30, 5 billion dinars.

At the level of the general government, in the first three months of 2022, a fiscal deficit of 68 billion dinars and a primary fiscal deficit of 14.8 billion were realized, it is stated in the announcement, Tanjug reported.
