Russian plant and animal health regulator Rosselkhoznadzor has warned against potential restrictions on imports of fruits from Serbia due to a pest infestation detected in some products.
A total of 12 cases of shipments of nectarines, plums and peaches infested with oriental moth were detected in August and September and restrictions may be imposed if violations continue, Rosselkhoznadzor said in a statement on Wednesday.
Rosselkhoznadzor plans to continue the monitoring of fruits imported from Serbia and take restrictive measures if further infestations are identified, the regulator said.
