The Free Citizens Movement (PSG) today called on citizens to help preserve the domestic economy by purchasing products from Serbia in a state of emergency due to the virus corona epidemic.
PSG said in a statement that the authorities were “still not doing anything about the measures for the economy”, which led to “numerous layoffs, breaches of laws and employment contracts and announcements of business terminations”.
“Measures to abolish or significantly reduce taxes and contributions on salaries, VAT, income taxes and other levies need to be urgently adopted in Serbia in order to make it easier for the economy to overcome the crisis”, it said.
PSG said that “now is not the time for stories of fiscal consolidation, foreign investment and GDP growth. It is time for concrete steps to save the domestic economy”, Beta reports.
