Serbia and China strengthen agricultural trade ties and cooperation

Serbia’s Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management, Prof. Dr. Dragan Glamočić, met with a high-level delegation from China, led by Li Lin, Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office of Fujian Province.

The meeting reinforced the strong “steel friendship” between the two countries and focused on boosting economic cooperation, particularly in agriculture. Minister Glamočić emphasized the importance of knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and expanding trade in agri-food products. The Chinese delegation expressed strong interest in increasing imports and broadening the range of Serbian products in the Chinese market, marking a potential new momentum in trade relations.

Glamočić also highlighted China’s support for Serbia under the “Belt and Road” initiative and invited the delegation to the upcoming “Wine Vision of the Open Balkans” fair in Belgrade, scheduled for November 22–25.

The Chinese delegation included officials from Longyan and Sanming cities and other Fujian representatives, while Serbia was represented by State Secretary Stana Božović.
