In August 2025, the average net salary in Serbia, excluding taxes and contributions, was 105,590 dinars, while the gross salary averaged 146,026 dinars.
The net salary in August rose 9.3% nominally compared to the same month last year, and 4.4% in real terms after adjusting for inflation. From January to August 2025, nominal salaries increased by 10.8% and real salaries by 6.1% compared to the same period in 2024.
The median net salary in August was 83,535 dinars, indicating that half of employees earned up to this amount. Public sector employees had an average net salary of 110,293 dinars, while those outside the public sector earned 103,710 dinars. The lowest average pay was recorded for employees working for entrepreneurs, at 55,478 dinars.
