In September 2024, Air Serbia transported a total of 476,592 passengers through regular and charter traffic, marking a 4.3 percent increase compared to the same month last year, the company announced. The national airline operated 4,815 flights from the airports in Belgrade, Niš, and Kraljevo, representing a four percent rise from September 2023. In the first nine months of this year, nearly 3.5 million passengers have flown with Air Serbia, an increase of 7.8 percent compared to the same period last year.

“The monthly results for September indicate a sustained high interest among passengers for our flights to various destinations across Europe,” stated BoÅ¡ko Rupić, Director of Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia. “Thanks to this interest, we transported over 470,000 passengers last month. A particularly significant milestone was reached on the last day of September when we launched a direct route between Belgrade and Guangzhou. This marks our second destination in the People’s Republic of China and our fourth in long-haul traffic. We plan to continue expanding the Air Serbia network in the near future, which we hope will further boost demand for our flights.”

During September, Air Serbia’s most popular destinations in the region included Tivat and Podgorica, while in Western Europe, the top destinations were Zurich, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Rome. In the Euro-Mediterranean zone, the most sought-after flights were to Istanbul, Larnaca and Athens.
