The construction of exhibition halls for the International Specialized Exhibition as part of EXPO 2027 is projected to cost over 77.2 billion dinars, or approximately 660 million euros, according to the building permit issued for the project. This figure exceeds the planned cost for the National Stadium.
The Ministry of Finance, which is overseeing the construction of the National Stadium and EXPO 2027 site, received the building permit for the exhibition halls on October 23. The permit includes plans for the construction of 26 buildings, including seven large exhibition halls, as well as several annexes. Four of the halls will cover an area of 11,600 square meters each, while the remaining three will be slightly larger at 12,500 square meters each. All halls will be single-story, with the annexes including basements, ground floors and upper floors.
One of the key structures in the project is a two-story administrative building, which will be the largest in the complex, covering 17,600 square meters. Additionally, the plan includes a building known as the “Green Totem,” two warehouses (totaling 11,700 square meters), guardhouses for controlling passenger, bus, and freight traffic, three ticket offices, an energy block and two substations.
In total, the complex will cover more than 123,000 square meters, with 3,374 parking spaces planned, including 185 spaces for people with disabilities. The underground parking garage will offer 337 spaces for cars (20 for disabled persons) and 11 spaces for motorcycles.
