Ananas E-Commerce has recently inaugurated its first specialized e-fulfillment center, spanning an impressive 10,000 square meters in close proximity to Belgrade.

This warehouse facility adheres to high global standards, incorporating modern technical solutions for efficient and secure goods storage. Spanning four floors, it features a cutting-edge Pick Tower system (multi-storey storage) and a 700-meter-long conveyor for seamless goods transportation within the warehouse.

Marko Carević, CEO of Ananas E-Commerce, expressed the company’s ambitious goals, stating, “Since our inception, we’ve harbored lofty ambitions in business. By unveiling Serbia’s first-of-its-kind e-fulfillment center, and the most advanced in this region of Europe, we affirm our readiness to elevate Ananas to greater heights and sustain rapid growth across all aspects of our business ecosystem.”

This storage system boasts up to a 40 percent increase in productivity and significantly reduces order preparation time. Notably, the Ananas e-fulfillment center employs a unique approach to storing similar goods in different positions, along with specially designed packing points and five courier service exits, streamlining the goods ordering process.

Ananas has developed a comprehensive software solution tailored to the e-fulfillment center’s operations, optimizing tasks such as inventory tracking, goods receipt and issuance management, warehouse space optimization, and employee coordination. Fully integrated with the ananas.rs platform, the warehouse can accommodate up to 65,000 shipments daily at maximum capacity. Furthermore, the entire operation prioritizes environmental sustainability.

Mihailo Vesović, Director of the Sector for Strategic Analysis, Services, and Internationalization at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the significance of such initiatives for Serbia’s e-commerce ecosystem. He remarked, “In the face of evolving global and domestic markets, companies must demonstrate greater agility and commitment to consumer needs. Enhancing productivity, efficiency, and embracing global e-commerce standards are imperative for success amid fierce global competition.”

The inauguration of this cutting-edge e-fulfillment center marks a significant milestone for Ananas. With over half a million items available both in-store and online on ananas.rs, the platform hosts products from over a thousand merchants, with a third utilizing the e-fulfillment center’s services.
