Catering prices in Serbia rise significantly in October, accommodation up 22.7%

According to the latest data from the Republic Institute of Statistics, catering service prices saw a substantial increase in October, rising by 13.9% compared to the same month last year.

Food prices climbed by 11.3%, with hot and cold appetizers increasing by 12.2%, ready-made meals by 8.5%, and baked goods and made-to-order dishes by 11.8%.

In terms of beverages, alcoholic drinks went up by 12.8%, while non-alcoholic beverages saw an even higher rise of 15.1%.

Accommodation prices experienced a notable jump of 22.7%.

In Vojvodina, however, price increases were slightly lower than the national average, rising by 10.3%. Food prices went up by 8.7%, alcoholic beverages by 11.9%, and non-alcoholic drinks by 9.5%. The highest increase in the region was seen in accommodation, which rose by 17.5%.
