Retail chains respond to Competition Commission investigations with commitment to transparency

Retail chains facing scrutiny from the Commission for the Protection of Competition have publicly affirmed their commitment to maintaining their long-standing reputations built on transparency and cooperation. Certain merchants, including “Delhaize Serbia,” acknowledged that the Commission had conducted unannounced investigations and stated their intention to fully cooperate with the proceedings.

In a press release, “Delhaize Serbia” emphasized their dedication to transparency, asserting that they had been working with the Commission even prior to the investigations. They expressed their determination to assist in establishing facts and understanding the operational landscape of retail trade in Serbia. The company confirmed its compliance with Serbian regulations, regular reporting to relevant authorities and adherence to professional standards.

“Univerexport” echoed similar sentiments, stating their confidence in the integrity of the institutions involved. They highlighted their full cooperation with the Commission, providing all requested information and documentation. “We are committed to preserving the good reputation of our company, built over decades through transparency and cooperation,” they stated.
