At the National Stand of Serbia during the 18th International Trade Fair in Tešanj, Bosnia and Herzegovina, taking place from September 25 to 28, 12 exhibitors are presenting their products and services to the BiH market in hopes of finding new business partners and distributors.

Early reports indicate that significant business contacts have already been established, with a series of meetings taking place. Nebojša Stanojević, owner and director of “Adonis,” a company from Sokobanja specializing in medicinal herbs, highlighted their participation as a way to showcase around 150 types of teas through tastings. Stanojević aims to renew and strengthen past business ties with the region, noting that tea consumption is notably higher in Bosnia and Herzegovina than in Serbia.

Vera Dosković, manager of the commercial sector at “Vapoli” from Valjevo, introduced their innovative polymer extrusion products, including polypropylene hollow plates. As the only producer of such packaging in Serbia, they aim to expand their reach into the BiH market, particularly within the automotive industry.

Milorad Gajić from “Motoplast” in Nova Pazova expressed satisfaction with their first-time participation in the fair, showcasing their stretch thermal films and agricultural products. With existing partners in BiH, they see ample opportunity for further promotion of their products.

Confectionery company Bomi from Obrenovac is also participating, with Vladimir Milošević, head of the Export Sector, emphasizing their desire to expand their presence in the BiH market beyond their current partnership with Tesco.

According to the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, bilateral trade between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina has doubled over the past decade, with Bosnia ranking as Serbia’s fifth foreign trade partner in 2023. Notably, Serbia exported mineral fuels, beverages, and machinery to BiH, while importing similar goods, including wood and pharmaceuticals, in return.
