Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) has shut down 106 cash registers for electricity bill payments. From now until February of next year, bills can only be paid at locations in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, Kragujevac and Kraljevo, as reported by Radio Television of Serbia.

Jadranka Ristić, Director of the Public Supply Directorate at EPS, stated that the utility currently has 640,000 registered users who can conveniently download and pay their bills through the “Bill Insight” app and portal, which launched a year ago.

As an incentive for both existing and new users, Ristić announced a discount of 30 dinars on every bill paid via the app until October 31, 2025. Additionally, users opting for electronic billing will receive a further discount of 50 dinars. She noted that customers who pay their bills on time can enjoy a 5% discount, with 65% of consumers benefiting from this offer.

All employees previously assigned to cash registers have been reassigned to other roles, but the counters will continue operating Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Starting February 1, all cash registers in EPS branches will cease operations, although citizens will still be able to obtain information about bills, contracts and submit complaints at these locations, Ristić added.
