The existing agreement for Russian gas delivery to Serbia, set to expire in March 2025, could be extended until the end of September. Anton Kobyakov, advisor to the President of Russia, revealed this possibility following a meeting with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin at the Eastern Economic Forum.

Kobyakov confirmed that discussions about prolonging the gas supply agreement were held, and he expressed confidence that a new agreement could be finalized by September. The extension could be formalized before the Russian Energy Week, scheduled to take place in Moscow from September 26 to 28, with the theme “Energy Cooperation in a Multipolar World.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin also mentioned plans to address the gas supply contracts with Serbia during a recent meeting with Vulin.
