A major new investment project could be on the horizon for Serbia with a proposed plant for processing cereals and oilseeds. Ukrainian businessman Sergiy Dyadechko and Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management Aleksandar Martinović discussed the potential investment of approximately 150 million euros at a recent meeting.
The planned facility aims to process agricultural products for export, with raw materials such as soybeans, corn, and wheat sourced exclusively from Serbian producers. The project is expected to create around 300 jobs. The Ministry of Agriculture highlighted the importance of such foreign investments, emphasizing Serbia’s openness to international cooperation.
As part of the next steps, Dyadechko will submit a Letter of Intent to the Ministry, which will pave the way for further discussions and development of the project.
