The Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management has refuted claims by certain milk producer associations that milk premiums are being abolished. The ministry stated that such information circulating on social networks and Viber groups is incorrect.

During meetings with milk producer representatives, it was confirmed that there are no plans to abolish milk premiums. Despite this, some individuals have continued to spread false information and incite protests among producers.

The ministry criticized these actions as being motivated by factors unrelated to genuine dialogue about improving the position of milk producers. It emphasized its commitment to constructive discussions and solutions for agricultural issues, noting that Minister Aleksandar Martinović has held multiple meetings with farmers. The ministry also announced that associations spreading misinformation would be excluded from further dialogue.
