“The Ministry of Rural Care and the Post of Serbia are collaborating to improve the lives of residents in all Serbian villages,” announced Minister of Rural Care Milan Krkobabić. He emphasized, “No one will be forgotten, even in the most remote village.” Meeting at the Palace of Serbia marks a significant step towards bringing government services closer to rural inhabitants.

The Ministry will facilitate the acquisition of multifunctional vehicles designed to serve as mobile stores stocked with essential groceries and goods. These vehicles will also function as ATMs and service counters offering postal and local administrative services. “Everything in one place, accessible to everyone,” Krkobabić said.

Zoran Anđelković, Director of JP Post of Serbia, expressed readiness to deploy these vehicles to provide the mentioned services. He highlighted the importance of assessing the specific needs of elderly residents in rural areas. “The post office is present in 4,700 villages, including the most remote parts of the country. This initiative will help meet the needs of these communities, from daily necessities to social interaction,” Anđelković added. The vehicles will visit villages according to a set schedule.
