In the prestigious Radisson Blu Hotel in Frankfurt, Telekom Srbija representatives, including Vladimir Lučić, General Manager; Katarina Đorđić, Director of the Customer Care Sector; Stefan Božić, Director of MTEL Germany; and Danjin Saletović, Sales Director for Germany, held a presentation aimed at forging partnerships and boosting Telekom Srbija’s presence in Germany. They addressed numerous inquiries from potential partners interested in MTEL television and MTEL phone cards.

Vladimir Lučić highlighted Telekom Srbija’s technological advancements, including their competitive 5G mobile network and affordable television services. “We have significantly improved our mobile phone quality with the 5G network and reduced our television pricing. We are effectively the sole legal distributor for the largest number of television channels, which are available to our customers for just €5.90 in prepaid or postpaid options, a stark contrast to piracy services that charge a year in advance. With the assistance of the General Consulate of the Republic of Serbia in Frankfurt, we have gathered individuals who can help us further our sales efforts. I am very optimistic; we have developed a product that competes well with other operators,” Lučić told “Vesti.”

Lučić emphasized the benefits of switching to Telekom Srbija, including enhanced communication with the parent company and access to Serbian channels. “In the future, we plan to offer even more services to establish ourselves as a unique telecommunications entity in Germany. Our goal is to open branches in all major cities and allow users from the region—including Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Macedonia—to benefit from our movies, series, and domestic sports. We invite everyone to help us make Telekom Srbija a significant player in Germany,” Lučić said.

Katarina Đorđić, Director of Telekom Srbija’s Customer Care Department, stressed the importance of connecting with the diaspora. “Our connection with the diaspora is crucial for promoting our services and supporting our community in Germany. MTEL, as part of the Telekom Group, offers excellent services and programs. Our mobile tariffs, valid in Germany, are also applicable in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro, with roaming zones to be integrated later. Additionally, calls to MTEL networks are included in the package, facilitating seamless communication across countries. Users can transfer their numbers from other networks for free and enjoy our services without issues,” Đorđić explained.

Žaklina Marić Žibert, spokeswoman for the Serbian Danube Society in Höheim am Main, appreciated the improved presentation. “This year’s presentation provided more details than last year’s, enabling us to better represent it to our members. The technical obstacles have been addressed, and the competitive pricing in Germany is impressive. The flexibility of prepaid and postpaid options, along with the ability to use the same card while traveling, is a significant advantage,” Žibert noted.

The event was attended by Aleksandar Đurđić, Consul General of Serbia in Frankfurt; Vladimir Rajić, Consul; Marija Rakić, Vice Consul; and various representatives from local clubs and associations. Following the successful presentation, attendees enjoyed a joint dinner at the renowned Frankfurt restaurant, At Home (Wi zuhause), located near the Radisson Blu Hotel. Dijana Avdić, President of the Central Council of Serbs in Hessen and Vice President of the Foreigners’ Parliament of Frankfurt, praised the presentation. “Telekom Srbija’s offerings seem to address the needs of the diaspora in Germany effectively. The affordability and wide range of television content are particularly commendable,” Avdić commented.

Igor Petković, Regional Manager for the province of Hesse, noted his key role. “My responsibility is to visit and support all clubs, societies, and branches, including the first branch opening in the Sky Plaza shopping center in Frankfurt. There, we will offer MTEL television and phone cards,” Petković said.
