Serbia competes with developed EU countries in the economy sector

The Minister of Finance, SiniĊĦa Mali, stated today that Serbia has never been a winner in the economy before, and that this is happening for the first time, and stated that we are no longer competing with neighboring countries but with developed countries of the European Union and the world.
He stated in the Assembly of Serbia, where the budget for next year is being discussed, that in recent years there have been huge allocations from the state for health.
He emphasized that the state was building a hospital, the reconstruction of the Clinical Center in Belgrade is being completed, and the salaries of health care employees are being raised.
According to him, the budget for next year provides money for health centers in Grocka, Palilula, Cukarica, Lapovo, Loznica, Medvedja, Raca, Sombor, and when it comes to tertiary protection for KBC “Dr Dragisa Misovic”, Tirsova two, for which 7.6 million euros were allocated.
Money was also set aside for general hospitals in Arandjelovac, Leskovac, Loznica, Prokuplje and the Institute of Public Health in Pancevo.
The Minister emphasized that the state succeeded in that with a responsible policy and stated that many countries were additionally indebted to provide funds for the fight against Covid, so in some the share of public debt in GDP exceeds 90 percent, while in our country this percentage will be by the end of the year about 58.2 percent and 55.5 percent next year.
Citing areas for which the amount has been especially increased for next year, he pointed out that the amount of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure has increased by about 711 million euros compared to this year, for agriculture by about 85 million euros, for environmental protection by 161 million euros more than in 2021, and 100 million euros more for education, Dnevnik reports.
