Serbia has so far distributed 75 billion dinars in agricultural subsidies to registered farmers, covering nearly 70% of the total budget for these programs, Minister of Agriculture Dragan Glamočić announced. He expects all planned subsidy programs to be fully implemented by year-end.

This year, 23,000 farms applied for subsidies for beef fattening, an increase of 5,000 from last year. The minister emphasized that additional budget funds will be allocated to support livestock growth and improve export potential, while farmers will be required to justify all spending with receipts.

Regarding recovery from fire damage, Glamočić stated that the ministry is monitoring reconstruction efforts after the government allocated 350 million dinars. Many damaged farmhouses have been restored, and auxiliary facilities rebuilt. The ministry has also provided additional livestock, machinery, and other necessities.

Aid for households in 16 cities and municipalities is being distributed through the Ministry of Public Investments, covering construction and machinery purchases. Glamočić highlighted that multiple donors helped ensure strict adherence to procedures and prevent misuse.

On the grain front, Serbia recorded a record wheat harvest. Corn yields are less than ideal, but sufficient for domestic consumption and animal feed, with limited quantities available for export.
