Draft Program of Economic Reforms 2023-2025. foresees a total of 22 reforms and was published on the website of the Ministry of Finance, the Republic Secretariat for Public Policies and the E-consultation portal. Therefore, it was made available to the public from December 12 to 26 this year.
The program includes an overview of the macro-economic situation and monetary policy, then structural reforms aimed at removing obstacles to economic growth and development in the next three-year period, the coordination of which is in charge of the Ministry of Finance and the Republic Secretariat for Public Policies, the Ministry of Finance announced.
Structural reforms are organized in thirteen areas in accordance with the guidelines of the European Commission.
First of all, public finance management, green transition, digital transformation, business environment and reduction of gray economy, research, development and innovation. Then, reforms in the field of economic integration, energy market, transport market, agriculture, industry and services, education and skills, employment and labor market, social protection and inclusion and health care, the Ministry announced.
Within these areas, three key challenges have been singled out: Increasing employment, especially for young people, women and vulnerable groups and social protection against poverty, Creating a business environment more favorable for investments as well as Greening the energy sector and fully opening the energy market.
In order to ensure the widest possible consensus during the selection and creation of priority structural reforms during the process of drafting the document, consultations with civil society organizations are foreseen, which will be made in a separate annex to the ERP 2023-2025 document.
