Serbian Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic said that he expected three million visitors to come to see Serbia’s tourist hubs in 2017. He told the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation that he anticipated 1.6 million domestic and 1.4 million foreign tourists this year. Ljajic said there were 22 percent more skiers on Serbia’s mountains at the moment, and that ski centers were filled to 58 percent capacity. “Of that amount, 67 percent are domestic guests, while foreign guests are mostly from the region Bulgaria, Macedonia, Hungary and the Russian Federation,” Ljajic said.
