An annex to Serbia’s contract for Russian gas deliveries has been signed, allowing the filling of gas storage facilities in Banatski Dvor (Serbia) and Hungary ahead of winter, announced Srbijagas director Dušan Bajatović.
The contract extension maintains the existing terms and is valid until the end of September, securing six million cubic meters of gas at a price of 290 euros per cubic meter.
Serbia aims to secure a stable supply of eight million cubic meters of gas per day, with an additional four million cubic meters as backup. However, logistical challenges mean the extra four million will be purchased via auctions, without guaranteed immediate availability from Russia.
Bajatović emphasized that there are no issues with Russian gas procurement and assured that household gas prices will not increase, while businesses can expect more favorable rates.
