The director of Srbijagas, Dušan Bajatović, stated today that Serbia has enough gas and that it will not increase in price until May 31.
Bajatović said for Prva TV that, when it comes to energy sources, there is no reason to worry and that the state is doing a great job.
Speaking about who will pay the difference in price, Bajatović said that part will be paid by the state, and the rest by Srbijagas.
He pointed out that neither the citizens nor the economy will be endangered, and stated that the warehouse in Banatski dvor is full and that there are 120 million cubic meters of gas in our part and 165 million in the Russian part. Bajatović said that Serbia, with the substitution of fuel oil, should not have problems with gas until the summer.
When it comes to the price of gas from June 1, Bajatović said that the economic and financial effects will be calculated.
“We are already exchanging letters with Gazprom,” Bajatovic said, adding that the price would be at least 30 percent lower than the current market, reports Tanjug.
He pointed out that inflation will have consequences for both our and the European economy. He believes that the biggest guild of the current situation in Ukraine will be paid by Europe.
Bajatović said that the price of oil is currently too high, estimating that a jump in the price of oil to 130 dollars would be the end of the world economy, Politika reports.
