The state is negotiating with the Turkish company Teklas on opening a plant in Vranje and taking over part of the workers of the Italian Geox, announced the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
– We have known for two months that Geox is leaving Vranje, but we will find a solution. We will find a solution for 500 people immediately. We are talking to Teklas to open their plant in Vranje – he says.
The Turkish company Teklas Automotive, by the way, has been operating in Vladicin Han since 2016 and produces systems for the circulation of low-pressure fluids.
Geox is closing its plants in Vranje after five years of operation and more than 12 million euros in subsidies, leaving 1,200 people without jobs, eKapija reports.
