The Minister of Economy, Adriana Mesarović, announced that the Ministry of Economy, at the initiative of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, has launched a competition for the allocation of grants of up to three million dinars per individual request to support honey production and product distribution.
Mesarović highlighted that this is excellent news for all honey producers in Serbia. “At the personal initiative of President Aleksandar Vučić, the Ministry of Economy has launched a competition through which up to three million dinars in non-refundable funds will be approved per individual request, or up to 50% of the investment value, as support for honey production and product distribution,” Mesarović wrote on her Instagram profile.
The Minister of Economy encouraged all honey producers to apply to the ministry and take advantage of the government support, recognizing their great potential in both production and distribution of honey products in domestic and foreign markets.
Mesarović also emphasized that the government will continue to fight against the import of counterfeit honey.
“Honey is one of the significant opportunities for the Serbian economy. We will continue supporting our agriculture and economy,” Mesarović concluded.
