Marko Čadež, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS), announced that Serbia will be declared a partner country at the GITEX global fair in Dubai, thanks to the country’s strong cooperation and success at major technology fairs. Speaking from Berlin, Čadež emphasized that Serbia’s participation at the GITEX EUROPE 2025 fair marks a significant step forward, showcasing 22 Serbian startups and highlighting the nation as a producer of innovative solutions with global potential. These fairs provide a unique platform for Serbian companies to present their technologies, attract investors, and access new markets.

Čadež stressed the importance of connecting the innovative digital economy with traditional industries to enhance competitiveness on the global stage. He noted that Serbia is increasingly recognized as an ideal location for fast, creative, and high-quality digitalization and innovation solutions. At GITEX EUROPE, three Serbian companies reached the semi-finals in the competition for the best solutions, drawing continuous interest from investors and large corporations.

Recalling recent agreements made at GITEX Asia in Singapore, Čadež highlighted the necessity for Serbian startups to expand internationally to find clients and investors, which PKS supports through events like GITEX, Web Summit, and the Scale Up program. This program helps companies develop products, connect early with traditional industries, and implement successful solutions. Additionally, PKS collaborates with the government to provide incentives for digitalization, offering innovative companies access to state data centers and supercomputers for testing solutions—resources rare in Europe.
